Presentation
Bodega Calle is a restored boutique winery dating from the late XIX century. It specializes in producing fine red wines through the use of its exclusive gravity-flow method, where Alberti 154 and Ca' de Calle are made to conquer your palate. Bodega Calle is located in the prestigious wine growing area of Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina. The names Alberti 154 come from our off the beaten path street addresses and it is here where we focus on fine varietal wines and blends. Here we leave the routine behind to get to the place less traveled as we stay true to our history. Ca' de Calle, or "House of Calle" refers to the winery's historic house, named after the founder, Ms. Elvira Antequeda Calle, a famous business woman, owner of the largest newspaper in Mendoza and a dedicated philanthropist. The winery sources grapes for its red wines and premium red blend from the areas in which each variety grows best. Perdriel, Barrancas, Agrelo for very good Cabernet Sauvignon, Luján de Cuyo and Altamira for Malbec, Merlot from Tupungato, Altamira Valley for Tempranillo and Syrah from Agrelo. All wines are made with the winery's unique gravity system and the grapes are never crushed or pumped to the fermentation tank, thereby improving product quality. The resulting wines burst with ripe fruit flavors are smoother and are less bitter than when using other more aggressive processing methods implemented by other wineries. Mission
Produce high quality wines in a sustainable manner for customers in select markets across the world. Apply the highest international quality standards, helping to develop the prestige of Mendoza's wine and Argentina. Take strides to preserve the environment and the culture of the region, while maintaining concern and social commitment for our workers, producers and surrounding community. Vision
Creating consumer-oriented premium wines for those that can appreciate the subtle, but important differences between wines produced on an industrial scale and handmade wines made with high technology and pedigree, and with the care and dedication of a goldsmith. |
